The Internet is such a huge part of our lives today and designing and creating web pages is an incredibly useful digital media skill to have.
Throughout your time with us in Web Design, you will become a web designer as you learn to interpret client briefs, ideate web designs and build your own website!
The course is designed to simulate a true web design studio - so you will undertake the design process from client brief to finished website in the same way as we do in professional industry design studios.
First, we'll explore working with clients, from preparing a pitch to providing a design brief. Next, we'll use the markup language HTML to construct our web pages and finally we'll use Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) to apply styles to web pages, as well as creating responsive web designs that can be viewed across multiple devices such as computer screens and smartphones.
As you work through the content, you'll notice that some weeks have a lot of course content and less that you are required to do on your assignment that week, and some weeks will have less course content and require you to complete more of your assessment activities that week.
