length: 4 minutes
The concept of PSC is gaining attention in work and organisational psychology. This week will be largely dedicated to learning about this unique concept. PSC is very relevant to the earlier topic of work stress theories, as it has been shown to theoretically precede other work stress theories. This is because PSC is focused on the organisational factors and climate rather than the job design itself. In this video, Dr Tessa Bailey, who is a lead PSC researcher, will provide you with an overview of what PSC is both in a theoretical and practical sense.

Activity 2.1 - PSC Components
What components make up PSC?
Next, you will be asked to look a bit closer at the items that comprise the PSC-12 tool (or PSC measure). As discussed previously, the total PSC measure is made up of four sub-scales. In the next activity, click and drag the statements or items from the PSC measure into their corresponding sub-scales.
