A glossary is similar to a dictionary but contains only terms that relate to a specific topic. A glossary can be created by your Online Course Facilitator and contains key concepts that are important to your study. A glossary activity may also allow you to collaborate with other students and compile a collection of key terms and definitions. Glossary activities can help you to research topics and build collective knowledge that is useful to you and other students in the course.
A glossary activity can be used as a formative learning exercise or for assessment.
