Forums (or discussion forums) are one of the key activities that bring students together to engage in discussion about the course, specific topic or how best to approach an assessment activity. They may be general or very specific in nature and your Online Course Facilitator will advise how to use the forum to achieve the best outcome.
Students can post their thoughts or views on a topic to a discussion forum and comment on the postings of other students. A post can be written text or include images, video and uploaded files; whatever you need to demonstrate or strengthen the point you're making.
Forums are generally used as formative activities however your contributions can also be graded assessment if required.
