Before Week 1
- Your course will be available one week before teaching starts
- Download your Course Outline
- Navigate your course site and find where everything sits
- Familiarise yourself with the Need to know and Need to do interactive checklists on your course site
- Purchase your course textbooks (if required)
- Identify weekly activities and the assessment deadlines
- Use a calendar to create a study planner and set your study schedule - include key dates and assessment deadlines which can be found in your Course Outline
- Navigate the myUniSA Student Portal and set up your UniSA email

Week 1
- Log into your course site and your email account at least 3 times every week
- Introduce yourself to your Online Course Facilitator, Online Tutor and your peers in the course welcome forum
- Respond to forum posts and establish your own online presence
- Watch the first online video and do any set tasks for that week
- Start understanding and reviewing your assessment tasks
- Start looking for readings relevant to your course tasks via the Library website
- Download useful learning resources from the Study Resources webpage
- Look ahead at tasks in week 2

Week 2
- Continue checking your course site and email for new announcements
- Continue participating in the online activities to enhance your learning
- Engage actively with your peers and build a study relationship with like-minded individuals - use the online space to share ideas, give suggestions and seek advice
- Continue searching the Library website for readings relevant to your assignments – if you are experiencing any issues, Ask the Library for help
- Start planning your first assignment – if you are unsure of the process or how to write that type of assignment, access Study Resources to help you
- If you are unsure of something in relation to your course, contact the academic staff
- Post general course questions on the forum so that everyone can benefit - your peers might have the same question

- If you can't find the right information as you need it, touch base with your tutors or Online Course Facilitator
