    The materials that your Online Course Facilitator has chosen for you to read as part of your course will be made available to you as eReadings (electronic readings) via your course site and also shown within each week.  Some will be set readings and essential for your learning in the course, while others will be recommended readings (i.e. not compulsory, but worthwhile).  Your course eReadings may vary in type and can include book chapters,  journal articles, websites or eBooks.





    BookCourse Textbooks

    If your course has a set textbook, you may be able to download an e-version from the library, or you can purchase a copy. Check your Course Outline and if there is a set textbook, see if you can buy or rent it via one of the following sites:

    You will be expected to participate in or contribute to a series of activities throughout your course.  These may be set weekly, fortnightly or at intermittent points of the term, and may include:

    TestCourse Assessments

    Assessment will vary from one degree to another and may also vary across courses within a degree.  Some common assessment types include:

    • Essays, reports or literature reviews
    • Reflections or blogs
    • Online forum posts
    • Quizzes 
    • Online exams
    • ePortfolio

    Your Course Outline will include information about the type of assessments you will be expected to complete and instructions on how to do them.  Read the instructions carefully, but if you are still unsure about what to do, check the forums for any extra tips from staff and peers or contact the academic staff.     For those courses that have online exams, please complete the Mandatory Practice Module before you commence your studies to ensure that you have the necessary equipment and access.
